Our Vehicle Process

Our Specialized Vehicle Sourcing

At Deals 4 Wheelz, we specialize in a unique niche of the automotive market of theft-recovered vehicles that have been recovered by insurance companies.

When a vehicle is stolen and later recovered, it is typically impounded by the police while the legal case is processed through the courts. This process can take anywhere from a few months to over a year. During that time, the vehicle sits unused, and while market values decline over time, the vehicle's quality usually remains unchanged.

Once the legal case is resolved, the vehicle is returned to the insurance company, which then sells the vehicle through national auction platforms. At Deals 4 Wheelz, we carefully select vehicles from these auctions that meet our strict buying standards, allowing us to purchase quality vehicles at favorable prices, savings we pass along to our customers, friends, and associates.

Our Vehicle Selection Criteria

Most of the vehicles we purchase meet the following guidelines:

  • Mileage: Less than 70,000 miles
  • Condition: Normal wear or minor cosmetic blemishes, such as small dents or scratches
  • Model Years: Typically, 2017 to current models

Vehicle Titles

  • Title status varies by the state in which the vehicle theft recovery was processed.
  • Many states issue clean titles for theft recovery vehicles that were not damaged.
  • Some states, including Oklahoma, issue clean titles marked “Theft Recovery.”
  • Certain states brand the title as rebuilt titles, even when the vehicle has no damage. These states include New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, and others.

Regardless of title designation, we focus on vehicles that are mechanically sound, properly documented, and transparently represented so buyers can make confident purchasing decisions.

Before We Purchase a Vehicle

  • Before purchasing any vehicle, we conduct extensive research and review its history.
  • CarFax Review: We pull a full CarFax vehicle history report to evaluate service records and maintenance history, both before and after the theft.
  • Damage History Check: We carefully review the report to determine if there has been any significant damage reported.
  • Selection Standards: Our goal is to purchase well-maintained vehicles that have not been wrecked and remain in strong mechanical condition.
  • This process allows us to identify vehicles that represent excellent value without sacrificing reliability or quality.

After We Purchase a Vehicle

  • Once we purchase a vehicle, it goes through our internal inspection and testing process.
  • Full Diagnostic Review: Each vehicle receives a complete diagnostic check to identify any potential mechanical or system issues.
  • Repairs & Corrections: If any items require attention, they are addressed before the vehicle is offered for sale.
  • Road Testing: Our staff drives each vehicle multiple times to confirm it performs properly and that no additional issues arise.
  • Only after this process is completed do we make the vehicle available for sale. This ensures we can confidently stand behind the vehicles we offer and remain proud of what we sell to our valued customers.
